The Glazer family have confirmed that they will not be selling the club and will not be entertaining any offers despite the protests from fans who wish to see the club taken out of their hands.

This will come as a huge blow to the Red Knights who had expressed an interest in taking over the club.

In a statement just released the Glazers said:

“The board noted recent press speculation regarding a possible bid for Manchester United. The owners remain fully committed to their long-term ownership of the club. Manchester United is not for sale and the owners will not entertain any offers.”

One response to “Glazers: Manchester United not for sale”

  1. Tom says:

This isn’t new, we know the Glazers have no intention of selling. We just have to hope that Gill is telling the truth because he runs the day to day operation. We have to hope that there is some kind of long-term plan in place which will see the debt reduce over time. One positive is the number of commercial deals that the club have completed. It has brought alot of revenue for the club, including the record deal with AON. The Glazers need to introduce a couple of more inovations like these in order to make more money. They have been running businesses in America over a long period, so if they are not selling, I have to hope they are experienced enough to know what they are doing. If they do decide to sell, I’m not convinced this Red Knights is the best way foward. Having so many different voices is never a good idea in business.
