Having seen the success of the Green & Gold movement last season, the Manchester United Supporter’s Trust are set to step up the campaign this season by releasing 5000 limited edition “One Love” United fan’s shirts.

The shirt will incorporate the Green and Gold colours that have become synonymous with the movement and will be identical in quality to the replica shirts that will go on sale for the new season. But will have “One Love” in place of new sponsor “AON”.

Joe Sillett, Managing Director of leisurewear brand Tekkers who were commissioned by M.U.S.T. to manufacture the shirts said,

Each shirt has been made to exacting Premiership-quality standards and is uniquely numbered on the bottom left-hand side. It is a chance for fans to buy a piece of history.

The shirt will cost £19.99 – half the price of the official shirt but instead of the Glazers eating off the profits all money raised will go to the British Heart Foundation who are aiming to fund medical research into medically mending broken hearts – repairing damaged heart muscle, repairing diseased arteries and treating certain types of congenital heart disease.

They will be available world wide on a first come first served basis so make sure you don’t miss out. Pre sales of the shirt start on June 17th on the website: www.oneloveshirt.com with the hope that the shirts will be delivered to buyers by the end of July 2010.

Personally i would have had a green or yellow top opposed to the black to signify the green and gold aspect more clearly! Cool stuff tho

That shirt looks classy. The black is good because our club because of the Glazers is in funeral state, because Glazer debt with Gill’s consent is killing us! Also it will be just mighty for United fans who buy the shirt, (one of whom will be me if I can get my hands on one) too see their money going to a great charity cause the heart foundation. Anyway to starve the Glazers of finance is fine with me, because United are not seeing any of the clubs money, we are just the cash cow paying off their debts for the rest of our lives if we don’t get rid!
