Michael Carrick as well as Bebe are part of United’s party that travelled to Spain for the game against Valencia.

Carrick has been out for the past 3 weeks with an achilles injury and his lack of defensive cover in the midfield could be the key as to why we have leaking goals at such a worrying rate whilst Bebe could be playing some sort of role with the injury to Ryan Giggs. There is also a place for Rio Ferdinand having missed out on Sunday’s game at Bolton.

Obvious we know of the omissions of Wayne Rooney and Ryan Giggs but also Paul Scholes and Gary Neville have not travelled with the team either as we face an inform Valencia who sit atop of the La Liga table.

United squad: van der Sar, Kuszczak, Amos, Ferdinand, Vidic, Brown, Smalling, Evra, O’Shea, Evans, Rafael, Anderson, Nani, Bebe, Carrick, Gibson, Fletcher Park, Hernandez, Berbatov, Macheda & Owen
