Preston North End have agreed a deal to bring back Manchester United starlet Joshua King on a youth loan.

The Norwegian forward’s previous loan ended following the recent clash with Hull City and Sir Alex Ferguson has allowed the striker to return to Deepdale until 4th January.

King, 18, is highly rated at Old Trafford, but saw his previous loan spell at Preston cut short after suffering an ankle injury. However, the youngster will return to North End when fit to add to the Lilywhites’ attacking options.

King will make up part of a strong United contingent under Darren Ferguson with Ritchie De Laet already there on loan with Matty James and David Gray who joined them for free after his contract with the club ended during the summer.

Cameron Stewart has also completed a loan switch to Hull City. The 19-year-old will now remain at the KC Stadium until 4th January, as will Scott Wootton who has rejoined Tranmere until the same date.
