When a man scores 5 goals in a game it would be likely that he is a shoe in for man of the match but there were some outstanding performances today as we crushed Blackburn at Old Trafford 7-1. It appears the transfer speculation surrounding them has had an effect as both Berbatov scored 5 whilst Anderson was exemplary in the middle of the park.

Would have liked to have kept a clean sheet but I’m not being spoilt we played well, won by a big margin and had some top performances as well as some of the on loan players scoring (Welbeck, Cleverley & James Chester) so a good day I say!

Anderson ran his socks off and showed true desire today.
Rafael had a cracking game in an effort to retain a position he richly deserves.
Vidic and Ferdinand were solid at the back, whilst Nani looked lost on the wing with Rooney mostly ignoring him!

But Nani gave Chimbonda fits! Overall a good team performance, I’m very pleased with everyone

Finally Man Utd have clicked. Its been a long long time since we have hammered a team. Berbatov has had alot of stick and was under alot of pressure. Its a fantastic achievement to score 5 goals in one match. However it will mean nothing if he goes another 10 games without scoring. He needs to be more consistent with his goal. If he does then he could score around 25 league goals for us this season. Park is having a good run with goals this season and I hope that it continues. The same goes for Nani who is getting better. The guy who seems to have stood out a bit more was Anderson and thats great news. He is a young player and I think all Man Utd fans just want to see him fufil his potential. Nani has turned his career around, considering this time last year we all thought he was on his way out of the club. Anderson needs to look at that and start working hard. If he does then perfomances like today won’t be a one off.

What a pure joy to watch. Of course Berba’s goals were the highlight and he deserves full praise, but I think I’m equally excited about Anderson’s play. He was virtually flawless and let’s hope he’s this year’s Nani so to speak. He perhaps more than anyone can affect the future of our team if he can become the player he’s capable of being. Every starter was at least an 8 and perhaps the only downside was that Evans was at fault again for a goal by being out-muscled.
