At United we’ve had some epic entrances in terms of player arrivals.

Bebe scored on his competitive debut against Wolves in November and Javier Hernandez did the same against Chelsea in August. There are high hopes for Danny Welbeck who announced his name to the world on his Premier League debut but letting rip with a 30 yarder against Stoke and who can forget Wayne Rooney’s hat trick and assist against Fenerbhace all the way back in 2004?

Despite these there is one that stands out amongst others.

Kiko Macheda was relatively unknown to to football fans out side of the club when he was subbed on late against Aston Villa 5th April 2009. The Italian youngster had enjoyed a fine spell in the reserves scoring goals aplenty including a hat trick against Newcastle’s reserves but the first team was a completely different story.

He came on at 2-1 down but moment’s later Ronaldo made it 2-2 and the stage was set for him to become a star.

He received a pass from Ryan Giggs turned his defender deftly and curled his shot just inside the post to hand a faltering United the win. We would go on to win the title that season and Macheda at the age of 17 had written his name into United history.

But these are just United’s who would make your world wide list?
