2-0 down at half time? No problem apparently if you are Manchester United.

It looked like it would be more away day blues as Charlie Adam’s corners allowed both Craig Cathcart and Dudley (DJ) Campbell to give Blackpool the lead.

But United never give up and never die as the song says and Giggs came on and helped change the game. He pulled the strings along with Scholes and Berbatov and another sub Hernandez did the rest and come 100 minutes (an extra 10 was played due to a horrible clash of heads between Rafael and Harewood) United had gotten away with a 3-2 win.

So when exactly was it that shoulder charges became illegal? I must have slept right through that rulw change. Just got off a tangerine forum and they’re saying it was the most stonewall penalty in years…LOL…even IF it could be interpreted as a penalty, it was hardly stonewall – seen them given, but only 2 or 3 times in 10. I suppose they’re sick as parrots and if you ask them when their blood has stopped boiling, they might agree with me. Cos I tell you what, ban 50/50 shoulder charges and you may as well go the whole hog and make it a non-contact sport…and I will take up watching another sport and sell my Old Trafford season ticket, as it will no longer be the sport I fell in love with and played as a kid. Ridiculous. Although I expect the ABU’s will all chime in with their usual, bitter lazy jibes about SAF buying the ref.
