The 08/09 season was memorable for a number of reasons.

It saw United go on that record number of games without conceding, it saw Liverpool run us close for the title, introduced us to Dimitar Berbatov, Danny Welbeck and Kiko Macheda and was also the last seasons at Old Trafford for Messrs Tevez and Ronaldo.

It was a roller-coaster, United went away to the club world cup and upon our return proceeded to march towards the title whilst Rafa threw his toys out of the pram and told everyone about the ‘facts’ despite nobody asking but two losses to Fulham and Liverpool put number 18 in a precarious position for us.

Then came that game against Villa, looking dangerously close to letting Liverpool back into the reckoning, Kiko Macheda burst onto the scene and slammed the door in Liverpool’s face.

In Europe United marched towards the Champions League final in style, we beat Jose Mourinho’s Inter Milan rather comfortably, Ronaldo’s goal vs Porto was a show stopper, the thumping of Arsenal at the Emirates (including making their fans put down those silly flags and go home after 55 minutes) was a highlights of the campaign for me.

The video maker was kind enough to do an intro with some tasty skills (or silks depending if you’re into that stuff) and then the main course so enjoy.
