Manchester United progressed into the Champions League semi finals courtesy of goals from Javier Hernandez and Ji Sung Park against Chelsea at Old Trafford tonight.

Having had a goal disallowed early on, Chicharito scored just before the break to give United a well deserved lead.

At half time the ineffective Torres was subbed off for Didier Drogba who instantly showed why he should have started, putting himself around and threatening our goal.

Ramires’ red card around 70 minutes for a foul on Nani appeared to seal United’s passage into the semis but Didier Drogba had other plans.

Showing Ancelotti the mistake he made in not starting him, Drogba scored to make it 1-1 from an Essien pass and potentially set up a nervy ending.

But United thought otherwise.

With an instant reply, Park straight away restored our lead from an exquisite Giggs pass making it 2-1 on the night and 3-1 on aggregate.

Chelsea threatened with Malouda forcing a save from the brilliant van der Sar but it was in vain as United held on to progress to the Champions League semi final

An absolutely sublime performance from keeper, through defence, to midfield and attack. Not forgetting the twelfth man, my ears are still buzzing! Oh, what it is to be a Red.
