Goalkeeping mistakes are probably the most costly and beyond watching Titus Bramble tend to be the funniest.

Heurelho Gomes of Spurs appears to have cornered the market in terms of mistakes and has built up a rather impressive body of work, the kind that can rival David James’ but this effort from ENPPI goal keeper Mohamed Abougabal is as good as any I’ve seen from Gomes.

In a top flight game against Al Masri in the Egyptian league, Abougabal completely misjudges the flight of the ball and finds himself in no mans land as it sails over his head. A ‘You’ve Been Framed’ moment ensues…

Tragically, I’ve seen Gomes do a lot worse :s

Gomes has never made a mistake anywhere near this type of mistake. All of Gomes are generally handling errors. Whereas Ben Foster (an England international) has let in a goal almost exactly the same as this, scored by Paul Robinson.

    Remember Roy Carroll!!!

Surprised that Wenger hasn’t offered us a small fortune for Gomes as he likes crap keepers!

United fans taking the piss out gomes. Oh the irony. A club that had Roy Carroll and massimo taibi between the sticks. You’d love a keeper of gomes’s quality to replace van de Saar. All see is the odd cock up, he makes some impossible saves. Idiot.

Stoney in your shoe, fire your dealer. Twit.
“the odd cock up” may work for your team, but when you plan to win, they are unaffordable. Making “some impossible saves” improves your highlights reel, but it doesn’t help when no one in your team trusts you. Winning is a way of life at United, not at your club though.
