It may not be the Premiership but it’ll do!

United got their US tour underway earlier this morning and what a start it was as they beat the New England Revolution 4-1 n Boston.

The game saw a first start for Ashley Young and it was a promising display as he worked well down the left putting some promising crosses into the box but the show was stolen by Kiko Macheda whose brace helped United on their way to victory.

There has been much speculation over Macheda’s immediate future at the club so it’s great to see him signalling his intentions by scoring goals and following the game he gave the perfect soundbite stating:

“Manchester United is the best club in the world and when you see the other teams you really know that…”

A great start to proceedings in America, now we only have a week to wait until the next game against the Seattle Sounders!

Promising start. Owen and Macheda did well and found plenty of space of the ball
