When you spend the amount of time Sir Alex has at a club you will inevitably see some stars as well as some, for want of a better word, whoppers.

Certain players will always be deemed flops regardless, the likes of Milne, Djemba Djemba, Bellion and Miller spring to mind but for the bad there is inevitably tons of good; we wouldn’t be as successful as we are if not.

In our current crop we have bonafide stars like Ferdinand, Vidic, Rooney  etc and the likes of Smalling, Jones, Cleverley, De Gea etc are all set to be top players so when asked who was the greatest player he has ever trained Sir Alex was stumped.

Having had a plethora of stars under his guidance he simply couldn’t pick one in Rome yesterday:

“Who is the strongest player I have coached? I cannot pick one in particular, but Eric Cantona,Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Scholes andRyan Giggs have been fantastic,”
