Definitely wasn’t an easy point and looking at our fixtures it’s probably the hardest game of the bunch.
A rotated team with the game against Chelsea in mind put in a hard night’s work in the Stadium of Light and can be pleased with the point they gained.
Having to come from behind following Cardozo’s goal, United’s goal would continue to be threatened and we have Anders Lindegaard to thank for the fact it remained intact!
Good to see the likes of Valencia and Fletcher both getting minutes under their belts on the road to full fitness as both will be important players to our aspirations this season.
