Nani spoke of his ambition to become the best player in the world earlier this month and if he can play like this consistently he will definitely be mentioned when discussing.

A cracking goal topped off a wonderful over all performance that saw him give Ashley Cole the kind of problems he hasn’t seen since coming up against Antonio Valencia last season.

On his 100th Premier League appearance Sky made a point of comparing Nani with Ronaldo over their first 100 games and it was Nani who appeared the more productive of the two with both getting 19 goals but Nani helping himself to 33 assists compared to Ronaldo’s 12.

The comparisons will always be made so if Nani wants to be included in the same class as his countryman he needs to work on becoming more consistent as it was when Ronaldo was able to batter teams game in game out that he began being considered as one of the world’s best.

9 men went to the floor trying to take the ball away from Nani. Absolutely outstanding.

  2. Rohit says:

I may get ridiculed for saying this but he actually reminds me of ronaldinho..the way he brings the long balls down and his ability to beat man from a standing start are just phenomenal…He for me is among the very best wingers in the world..
