In support of the piece done earlier on Tom Cleverley, I feel this vid of his performance against Everton shows in some part just what I was referring to.

Neat, quick, intelligent use of the ball, not wasting possession. These are just some of the things you can see him doing here and whilst it is a highlight clip designed to dhow his good bits, I don’t think anyone would disagree that this is quite a fair and accurate depiction of the midfielder.

    He has been immense so far this season, really. Relatively understated, but seriously effective. And that video shows the range of his ability. Holding onto possession well, spreading play wide, well timed incisive passing to release players into dangerous positions… and look at that last pass to Hernandez.

    Seriously impressive. And instrumental in our early season form – it’s no coincidence that our form dropped around the same time as Cleverley got injured.
