Gary Neville continues to be impressed by Phil Jones.

Having previously stated he will be United captain, now has likened him to United greats Roy Keane and Bryan Robson.

It has been a massive week for Jones as praise continues to flood in from all quarters.

Sir Alex has stated he has no fears over Jones’ ability to handle the pressure that comes with all this adulation, but surely it must be in the back of his mind as Fabio Capello, Fernando Hierro and Gary Neville have all paid him massive compliments in the past 7 days.

This comes on top of people likening the 19 year old to the great Duncan Edwards.

Speaking in the Daily Mail, former United captain Neville said:

“I have been away on holiday in Dubai but I was I amazed to read that Fabio Capello had compared Phil Jones with Fernando Hierro and Franco Baresi.

“This praise comes after Sir Bobby Charlton said that Jones reminded him of Duncan Edwards.

“When you get two men with such experience and stature in the game mentioning names like that, the whole football world should take note.

“For me, Jones has a touch of Bryan Robson or Roy Keane.

“Forget whether he plays centre-half, holding midfield, attacking midfield or right-back; forget that he might be better at holding midfield than attacking, or at centre-half rather than right-back. The fact that he can play in those positions for England against the world champions at Wembley and play for Manchester United in the biggest matches at the age of 19 tells you everything.

“Expectations will be high and he will go through dips but England and Manchester United have got a sensational player.”

    Its pure brilliant.
He looked a real cool customer at Swansea as well.
Once he gets off the mark with a goal I think the floodgates will open.
Its just fantastic to write something positive about United.
