Well it’s clear the world is coming to an end.

It’s 2012 AND the Messiah has returned so prepare for the rapture any day now.

Yes, Paul Scholes is back and in front of the Old Trafford crowd he justified his selection with a goal just before half time to break the deadlock after United squander numerous chances.

Rooney’s missed penalty was the highlight of one of his poorer performances, even if he ended up with two assists! It begs the question how Valencia, who was brilliant down the right again, finished the game with 0?

Danny Welbeck is more than proving he is deserving of his starting birth and added another goal to his tally. He is quickly becoming a fan favourite, and although he picked up a knock in the process of making it 2-0, the fact he was able to walk off under his own strength is encouraging.

Michael Carrick’s performances have improved this season and he grabbed another goal today, a well placed left footed effort to make it 3-0.

United are now joint top with City and with 3 goals added to the goal difference and a clean sheet, there is much to smile about following our last 2 league games.
