Wayne Rooney believes Manchester United are finally starting to find their best form.

United suffered back to back defeats to Blackburn and Newcastle at the turn of the year but since then have won three games on the bounce including victories over Man City and Arsenal.

United are about to embark on a tough run of games, starting with a trip to Anfield on Saturday and the striker believes they, as usually, are finding their feet in order to ensure that they end the season with silverware.

“We relish this part of the season.

“Once we get into the new year we can see a bit of light at the end of the tunnel. Every game is massive and we don’t want to be dropping points.

“But I always feel we are at our best around now because we can see the end of the season and that there are trophies there to be won.

“That’s why we stay focused and, more often than not, we’re always there at the end.

“They are all difficult games but these are the matches you want to play in.

“The next three or four weeks will be exciting.

“We understand and know what we have to do. We need to prepare ourselves the best way we can and hopefully get the results we need.”

One response to “Rooney: United Are Kicking Into Gear”

Not so sure about kicking into gear Wayne.
We are holding on to the ropes mate.We have had various punches to our gut and the spine of the team.
Some said United would not be in their fighting for the title.Erm check the premiership table. We have a tough next 6 games in the Premiership.Look at Citys in April?
If we are still in fighting with even 3 points behind them come the end of April.I know who I would put my moolah on to win the title for the 20th time.Experience and handling the pressure counts for everything, our great manager and team have done this time and time again.
Witness the ‘bottle’ job by the oil fuelled City at Anfield.Cannot quite hack it eh Mancini, looking more and more rattled, lacking the when ‘winning’composure.
    Keep it real.
