Having confirmed that he flew to Manchester for talks with Sir Alex Ferguson, it appears that Shinji Kagawa could very well be on his way to Old Trafford.

The Japanese attacker was quick to add that he was undecided on his future, but the smart money would be on the Dortmund player ending up at Old Trafford this summer.

Whilst nothing is confirmed, Park Ji Sung feels that Kagawa would be a worthy addition to the United team, and has backed him to do well if he does in fact become a United player:

“Kagawa already has experience in Europe and good quality.

“If he comes to United, I think he’ll play well.”

With the summer here players will be coming in and out. It has already been revealed that Michael Owen won’t be offered a new contract and Park himself has been linked with a move away from United.

But if the South Korean could have his way, he would retire at the club:

“It was a disappointing season but the past is the past, I’ll focus on what to do from now on.

“It’s true that I want to retire at United, but it does not depend on me.

“The season is over now; I just want to take a rest not thinking about anything.”

I hope Kagawa arrives, but you wonder if Park will still be here next season. It would be a commcercial pull to have both players, but maybe not the correct footballing decision.

Hope we don’t suffer from injuries next season…with a full strong squad we reclaim the league title and do something special in the champions league!

i think he ‘ll be a good signing for united. If he comes, it’s just what united need.

Kagawa impressed me a lot this season in Germany and I can see why Ferguson wants him. The boy has terrific passing ability but its the speed of his game which is really impressive. I think sometimes the players we have slows the game down. Kagawa can quicken our football which we need and will hopefully lead us to being tougher to play against.

I really hope Kagawa will agree to join us soon and we can announce the deal. He is an exciting talent and would help light up Old Trafford again. He has great close control and technique and is difficult to play against. We need talent like him.

It seems talks for Eden Hazard will start on Monday on Lille season is finished. Man City look to be favourites for his signature. Its good that we will at least challenge because we shouldn’t be afraid of rejection. He is a quality young player and the kind of talent we should be competing for.

Its clear Man City will blow us out of the water if they want. If we can offer a good salary package then Hazard might be tempted by the prospect of having a key role in our team. He would be a regular and a main player for Ferguson. Ferguson does have skills when he meets people so you never know I guess.

We should also explore signing Radja Nainggolan because he is a very talented central midfielder. Ferguson doesn’t like defensive midfielder’s and believes in strong box to box midfielder’s. This boy is the ticket and has everything we need in terms of an all round midfilder. He is Belgium as well so it could help sign Hazard as well.

It’s clear midfield is where we should strengthen and signing Kagawa, Nainggolan and Hazard would be massive. They are all young and in their 20’s and other than Hazard would not cost the bomb. Kagawa may cost anything between £7-12 million which will be a good deal. Radja Nainggolan would be around £10-12 million. Hazard will be costly at £25-30 million but worth the investment.

We need a right back, maybe Nathaniel Clyne who would cost only £2.5 million and is a talented defender. A left back would also be good and a young one to learn and challenge Evra would be beneficial. If we get 5 new players like this then I feel we will be ready for next season. We will see some players leave as well, like Berbatov, Anderson and maybe Park. If we got Hazard then I would’t be shocked if Nani was sold for good money and Park stayed instead.
