Willie Morgan thinks Sir Alex should move for Raheem SterlingFormer Manchester United winger Willie Morgan has urged Sir Alex to try his hand at signing Liverpool starlet Raheem Sterling.

It looks more and more likely that Nani will be on his way out of Old Trafford with the Portuguese winger yet to extend his current deal, thus a number of names have been thrown around as replacements.

Most recently Sir Alex has been linked with Arsenal’s Theo Walcott as he too is stalling over a new deal but Morgan feels United should try and snatch away Liverpool starlet Sterling.

Having broken into the first team this season, he, like Nani and Walcott, is dragging his feet over a new contract, but with 18 months left on his current deal Liverpool haven’t quite got their backs against the wall, meaning any United approach is likely to be rebuffed.

But Morgan thinks the 18 year old would suit to a t as he told the MEN:

”Sterling is the first winger I have seen in a long time who looks like a proper winger. He looks very good already and I think he is going to be great.

“If you just let him go wide on the outside of the full-backs all the time I think he will be a great player. He’ll frighten people to death, so long as nobody coaches it out of him.  He’s the brightest prospect out there and would suit United.”

Sterling looks like an outstanding talent, a natural left winger, which Nani certainly isn’t. Can’t see Liverpool letting it happen though, especially as they are very short of options going forward at the moment.

I dont think that liverpool would sold his young talent the manager would not do the same mistake that benitez does selling X.alonzo, macherano and others who is shining. As united fan i prefer that united buy central defender and central midfielder that the biggest thing to the club. Dont waste money in winger there a lot player in united can player there as: welbeck, rooney, kagawa,A.Young and promising young player in academy who still dream to cover the position which united lacks. Example loan player:robby brady, jesse lingard,m keane and bebe should sent him on loan in reading, southampton, wigan or whatever team not in championship team.by sending him we can juge what ever he is able to play for united or not.

I don’t see it happening myself. I want to see Kagawa play on the left side now. A left sided playmaker, like David Silva plays for Man City, or how Zidane played his whole career really.

Kagawa is not a traditional winger, but neither was Park. Park was more of a defensive winger, whereas Kagawa is a playmaker. I know he might not enjoy the role, but he can be a success there. He is intelligent and has great movement and balance. The inter play with Rooney, who will drop of RVP, will be exciting.

In terms of a winger arriving, I can only see Walcott arriving for free next season and we will sell Nani.

Its possible that we could get James Rodriguez, but I’m not sure where he will fit exactly and he will cost around £30-35 million.
