Portugese paper A Bola are claiming that Manchester United are willing to sacrafice Nani in order to sign Porto star James Rodriguez.

Nani’s fall from favour has been nothing short of spectacular, going from one of the club’s most influential players to barely on the fringes of the first team.

With his contract running out in 2014 and no new deal in sight, A Bola believe United will cash in on the star in order to help negotiate a deal for the 20 year old Rodriguez.

With his fee believed to be in the region of €45m, adding Nani to any potential deal would see the price decrease a fair bit leaving Nani agreeing personal terms with Porto as the only problem, the same stumbling block that ruined a potential move to Zenit St. Petersburg for the winger during the summer.

What is it with these Portiguese clubs? You’d think it was illegal to sign anyone from them the way they demand the most ridiculously inflated fees. Must be something to do with the language cos the Brazilian clubs are exactly the same.

      It’s crazy!

We’ve all paid inflated fees to them so their prices just keep going up. In no walk of life was Hulk worth £40m but because they know that someone somewhere will pay what they want they get away with it.

absolute twaddle i am afraid……..more chance of this deal happening than there was of snjieder and moura and edin hazard….and franky after seeing hazards less than spectacular first season i dont think sir alex will be in a huge rush to spend the entire summers transfer budget on a player who or may not make it at old trafford….nani doesnt necessarily need to be replaced…he hardly plays anyway…..zahas come in……and i think young and valencia i think will get at least 1 more season to prove themselves……
