Cristiano Ronaldo may be leaving Madrid this summer

There’s nothing like news from the horse’s mouth.

The papers can write what they want but when it comes from source, it’s a different ball game and today the man that took Cristiano Ronaldo to Real Madrid, Ramon Calderon, has stated there is a chance that the Portuguese superstar could leave the Santiago Bernabeu.

There has been increased speculation that Ronaldo may up sticks and head away from the Spanish capital after claims the  attacker is/was unhappy and rumours that Jose Mourinho will be axed at the end of the season.

Ronaldo will have 2 years left on his deal this summer, and Calderon claims that this is the point that Real attempt to negotiate new deals for their player otherwise their sell on value decreases.

Speaking to Richard Keys and Andy Gray on Talksport Radio, the former Real Madrid head honcho said:

“At the end of the season Cristiano Ronaldo will have two-years left on his contract. In the last years of a deal you have to renew the contract or sell the player, otherwise there’s no value for the club.

“I think Ronaldo has rejected the chance to talk about a new deal because, at the end of the year, he will wait and see what his future looks like at Real Madrid.

“What’s going to happen at the end of the contract? I don’t know. I would like him to stay. He’s doing very well at Real Madrid, he’s playing fantastically and is a very important part of the team.”

With Mourinho potentially leaving, La Liga out of their reach and Real potentially heading out of Europe, could Ronaldo pack it in? If he does where will he head? There has been talk of United and Chevrolet attempting to put together a deal to bring him back to Old Trafford whilst PSG & Man City could also  lure him away.

Then there is the possibility he could simply stay in Spain and continue his duel with Messi?

This summer is looks to be a good one!
