Rooney & Van Persie

With rumours linking Manchester United with a move for Atletico Madrid’s Radamel Falcao, Denis Law doesn’t think that Wayne Rooney will be leaving Old Trafford this summer.

The striker has been touted as a potential target for the big money boys at French club PSG, and with United apparently having put in an advanced fee to secure Falcao’s signature this summer, it is thought Rooney will be the player sold to accomodate his arrival.

But former United sharpshooter Law disagrees and doesn’t think Sir Alex will split up the Rooney/Van Persie partnership, one he told Talksport that has won Manchester United the Premiership:

“I don’t think Sir Alex Ferguson will be letting Wayne Rooney go anytime soon.

“That combination of Rooney and RVP has won the Premier League.

“The other players are important as well but you need players who are going to score goals.

they havn’t really clicked… i much prefer the rvp welbeck partnership when its at its best but rvp has been stuttering of late.

i see rooney being either pushed back to CM or pushed out to PSG this year im afraid

with a left footed winger CLEARLY needed too i see big changes happening this summer
