Angelo Henriquez would consider another loan to Wigan

Manchester United striker Angelo Henriquez has claimed he would consider a loan move back to Wigan next season, despite the Latics being relegated into the Championship.

Henriquez joined Wigan on loan in January but despite early promise and manager Roberto Martinez praising him highly, he made just a handful of appearances.

His lack of game time hasn’t deterred him though, and Henriquez claims it is a move he would be willing to make again:

“I didn’t play a lot of football, which was obviously the target when I arrived in January.

“But just being involved with a Premier League team, living the experience of first-team football, and learning from other players and other teams has been very good.

“I have made a lot of friends here, both the ones from South America, and the British ones, and in that respect it has been fantastic.

“I have enjoyed my time here and I wouldn’t rule out coming here again if that is a possibility. Who knows?”

Despite his limited involvement, Henriquez believes the loan gave him invaluable experience, that he hopes will put him in good stead when he returns to Old Trafford:

“You always improve and pick up new things from new managers and new players.

“That was the point of the whole exercise, and I hope to show what I’ve learned when I return to Old Trafford.”
