Roy Keane ITV

The wife of Michael Carrick took to Twitter last night to blast former Manchester United captain Roy Keane before speedily deleting her tweet.

Carrick was just one of a number of player to feel the brunt of Keane’s ire after Manchester United slumped to a disastrous 2-0 defeat to Olympiacos in the Champions League.

With qualification to the competition’s next round in doubt Keane delivered a scathing assessment of the team including the man that inherited his old shirt, Carrick.

This prompted Carrick’s wife Lisa to angrily tweet:

Carrick tweet

Lisa deleted the tweet 15 minutes later explaining that her emotions had got the better of her.

Given last night’s showing, it’s good to see at least one Carrick showing some fight!
