OK, so the title is slightly misleading but hey it’s so why not!

Sir Alex presented ‘The King’ with the Legend of Football Award at the annual Football Extravaganza last night.

The award has previously been won by Sir Stanley Matthews, Sir Bobby Robson, and Sir Alex himself so Eric is in some very special company.

The event was attended by past United stars and as well as current legend and also celebrity United fans Eamonn Holmes and Mick Hucknall.
