The season is over and although there have been many highs and lows it was an entertaining one.

And thanks to the good people at 2entertain I have had been able to relive it as they have given me a sneak peek at their 2009/2010 season review DVD which is available to buy on June 14th.

Having watched it I can tell you already you won’t be disappointed as I found the DVD very enjoyable and now can’t wait for next season to start.

The DVD begins with a brief prelude to the season, looking at our signings as well as inevitably the departures of Carlos Tevez and Cristiano Ronaldo but like us the fans it doesn’t dwell rather it dives straight into the action starting with the Community Shield against Chelsea.

You are given an excellent recap of every game this season, looking at the best bits of action and I found myself saying ‘oh yeah I remember that!’ quite a few times. Some games are interspersed with commentary from players or Sir Alex Ferguson himself especially interesting when you hear their comments on games where things didn’t go our way like Burnley away or the bigger games like City at home.

You are frequently given a view of the table (League and Champions League) so you know exactly where we stood at every point throughout this roller coaster season and another great thing about the DVD is that it looks at the major occurrences throughout the season:

  • A mini tribute to both Giggs and Scholes as they both hit a century of goals
  • The defensive crisis
  • The contribution of ‘Own Goal’
  • David Beckham’s return to Old Trafford with AC Milan
  • Rooney’s fine goal scoring form

and because of this you get the feeling that the DVD is a bit more than just a review and summary of the season.

At the start menu you are given the option to pick specific games which can be extremely useful if you are want to look at an indiviual game or goal and there is also the option to watch all 34 of Wayne Rooney’s goals.

Overall I found the DVD very enjoyable and it would make a great addition to any United fan’s collection as well as a great present.

As a tiny token of thanks to all our readers we have 2 copies to give away courtesy of 2entertain. To be in with a chance of winning all you have to do is answer a simple question.

Who scored Manchester United’s last goal of the 2009/2010 season?

Please leave your answers in the comments section below and the 2 winners will be selected at random and contacted via the email address you provide with your answer.

The DVDs are region 2 thus will only work on region 2 DVD players.

Competition closes next monday (7th June 2010)

Good luck!
