Well Man City’s ‘scouting network’ have snapped up another star as Valencia’s David Silva has agreed a move to Eastlands on a 4 year deal (subject to passing a medical), for a fee thought to be in the region of £25m.

Silva, who could be heard waxing lyrical about his wishes to join United a couple of weeks ago, must have got his clubs mixed up as the latest quotes from the Spainiard are,

“Firstly I would like to thank Valencia as a club and all of their loyal fans, and my team mates there and staff. I have enjoyed six years at Valencia, they discovered me as a footballer and they will always be a special club for me.

The time is right for me to seek a new challenge, and I am thrilled about playing in England with Manchester City. I believe the Premier League is one of the best competitions in the world and I want to bring success to City and win trophies for them.

With City in the driving seat to sign Yaya Toure too, this season’s Manchester derbies could actually top last season’s in terms of excitement.

More on this story as it breaks…

    I don’t believe it! This story must be false!!! I don’t want to question this site, but I can’t imagine this. He is a great player. And a quality plarer won’t join City!!

    @ Mr Bluesky indeed you will be a threat with the players you sign but still don’t have the pedigree mate. Couple more years and maybe…

    Bluesky – Citeh will always be a joke. At a time when the uk, and the rest of the world, is buggered financially your owners are throwing money away willy nilly.

    You cant buy history

    Pondave… Utd have been lashing out near on £30M for years, don’t talk about money when you haven’t got any !

  7. Mr Bluesky says:

    Chudi Onwuazor… Quality players want to make history – not be bored by it. All Utd have from now on are memories !

    @Mr Bluesky

    Make history how? By carrying on your fine tradition of trophy winning? Ha!
    Don’t make me laugh come next season it will be the way it always is us on top looking down on you!

    There’s a reason we see City fans comment on this, a United fan site, and it’s over an inferiority complex. It’s laughable to think all our history is past considering we were only a point off the EPL trophy weeks ago and will be back in the CL unlike City.

    That being said, they have a strong team, but morale is still pretty low. Tevez was growing frustrated and talking about leaving and their other star strikers (Santa Cruz and Adebayor) are woefully underperforming.

    Losing on Silva does sting, and it may take a bug-eyed German to remedy my feelings of loss.

    Don’t talk about ‘woeful underperforming’ after the disgraceful performance ‘The Weakest Link ROONEY’ has just showed for England – He was an embarrassment to your club and his country. If he doesn’t improve on that for Utd next season, you’ll be lucky to finish mid-table.
