chicharito scored a damn beauty as the manchester united career of javier hernandez begins. nice goals by kiko, gibbo and cleverley aswell as the future is bright. fantastic game and the mls àll-stars gave us a game. typically we make more history as the first sìde to beat the all-stars. javier is truly class and a great buy.
What a thrilling game, and to have all of our goals scored by our next generation was both exciting and encouraging.
What can be said apart from Chicharito apart from the fact that he was pure class and should do away with the notion that we should purchase another forward. The same can be said for Macheda.
Cleverley continues to make a solid case for his inclusion for first team action. At this point I can’t imagine what else the guy has to do to prove himself.
I generally try to guard optimism, but I’m beginning to feel that our we have the most promising group of youngsters since the “fledglings”. Though I have suspicions about our ownership and their financial dealings; I still give SAF the benefit of the doubt that he’s speaking the truth and truly believes our club is better off grooming these players rather than gathering mercenaries.
I’ll even go to the extent that even if spending another year grooming these players may cost us the title this year, but places us in a position to win many down the road – then it is well worth it.
