VDS – 7: Flapped early but was wholly solid
Evra – 5.5: I feel a 5 would be harsh but he wasn’t much better. Mind isn’t there and is looking less than average, hopefully he returns to his usual self soon.
Vidic: 7: wasn’t his best but still looked good, good to see him beside Rio again.
Ferdinand 8: Was very influential at the back shutting the door in Valencia’s face numerous times, good to see him back.
Rafael 7: Very mature performance at right back justifying why people want to see him nail down the position. Looked good even without the eye catching forays forward.
Fletcher 6: Another player off the boil looked OK but can be much better
Anderson 7: Energetic early but did fade which is understandable after being out for so long, good to have him back.
Carrick 6: Was an average performance, caused alarms early when gave away possession outside the box but grew into the game with some key interceptions.
Nani 7: Wasn’t at his recent best but looked good going forward and also helped tracking back too, another string to his bow!
Park 5: Ineffective, lost the ball quite a bit and didn’t really trouble their backline.
Berbatov 6: Didn’t have much to do but carved out a good chance for himself and was unlucky to score that. Worked hard.
Subs:
Macheda 7: for his brief appearance he showed a lot about himself. Really has star quality and the fact he continually makes a difference is very promising. Troubled their backline and set up the winner.
Hernandez 7: had two chances (1 and a half) and scored the winner with one of them. Excellent finish after getting the ball out of his feet.

Last night we saw United fight all the way until the end, kind of like these guys!
I’d pretty much agree with all the ratings, maybe even higher for Rafael as shutting down their star player was pretty significant. Park is really starting to frustrate me. I hate being disloyal, but if he doesn’t start looking better he should count this as his last season with us.
