Earlier this week we had a poll questioning whether Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would return to Old Trafford.

An overwhelming number of you felt he would and today he himself has come out stating it would be a dream for him to do so:

“I do daydream about what might happen in 15 or 20 years time when I have the experience.”

Whilst many of us would love for him to take over he really does have to prove his credentials before he can assume position of manager at the club as explained in this piece on Solskjaer from Football Fancast:

There is nothing to say that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer couldn’t one day manage Manchester United. First he will have to learn what kind of manager he is. Look at how many of Ferguson’s ex players have made successful Premier League managers. This is testament to Ferguson. He will mentor and teach but he knows that experience is the best coach. Ferguson believes in Solskjaer and knows the move will make him a better manager.

The fans would love one day to see Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at the helm. He is living proof that in a profession that is dominated by money and fame, sometimes the good guy comes out on top. He is a lovable character, always smiling – knowing full well how lucky we was to play under Sir Alex Ferguson and play for Manchester United. He has as much passion for Manchester United as Gary Neville, but shows it in a more considered and measured way.

Ole has much work to do before he can take over but he is more than capable, he has a determination shown as a player in how he battled back from injury and that will serve him well in his endeavours. His familiarity as well as previous time in a coaching roles as well as at the helm of the reserve team will also add strings to his bow.

I personally am willing him to go out and make his name. Having someone who loves the club at the helm is the best thing and it is what we have now in Sir Alex. It may not be a quick journey but Ole will one day return home.
