Despite perennially being injured, it appears Manchester United may be set to offer Owen Hargreaves a new contract.
The Telegraph are reporting that the midfielder could have be offered a new one year deal as the club have been impressed with his determination to get fit again.
Hargreaves, who is currently out with a shoulder injury, has played for just 6 minutes this season so this news may come as a shock but if he can prove his fitness it may prove an astute move.
Hargreaves appears to have gotten over the knee injuries that kept him out since 2008 but other little injuries have curtailed his bid to return to the first team. But with him being just 2 weeks away from a return after a freak shoulder injury he may get a chance to prove his worth and earn the contract that the club may put on the table.
