Javier Hernandez is happy to be back amongst the goals after scoring twice against Ajax in the Europa League, and feels he is ready to repay Sir Alex’s faith in him.

Hernandez hasn’t had the easiest second season at Old Trafford but slowly is getting back to his old ways with his opener against Ajax proving vital as United would go on to lose the game but advance on aggregate.

A fit Hernandez running in behind a defence or making subtle moves in the box to secure himself some space is one of the most feared sights in the Premier League. Last season he hit 20 goals and in this stop start season he currently has 10 but he is aiming for more:

“The goals motivate me and I am feeling good at the moment.

“Last season was very different to this.

“It was a great first season. It made me very happy and I am ready again. The manager has given me his trust and confidence and I want to repay that.”
