It’s Ferguson vs Ferguson as Sir Alex sends a talented young side to face his son Darren’s Peterborough United.
The two sides met during pre season in 2008 with Manchester United running out 2-0 winners and United (Manchester) will hope for a similar result tonight.
A number of players that have been involved in the first team this pre season will turn out against Darren Ferguson’s side, including Ryan Tunniclife who was on loan at London Road last season and Nick Powell who was involved against Barcelona on Wednesday.
Starting XI: Johnstone, Vermijl, Blackett, Thorpe, Foransier, Tunnicliffe, Cole, Powell, Macheda, Petrucci, Lingard
Subs: Veseli, Sutherland, King, Gladstone, Agnaldo, James.

This youth team defenders are not good enough…Couldn’t even test the Peterborough keeper enough. Macheda’s totally ineffective and I doubt he’ll ever make it to first team again. We really need to buy players because if we’re to compete at the highest level..but that’s not going to happen while the Glazers are sucking the club dry.
