Javier Hernandez made up for a early missed penalty, scoring for Mexico in their 5-0 drubbing of Guyana.

Having been brought down by Guyana’s keeper, Chicharito saw his penalty crash off the cross bar in the 4th minute.

He and Mexico spurned a number of chances and it seemed that they would have to do with a point in Houston as the ball just wouldn’t go in.

But Andres Guardado finally broke the deadlock in the 78th minute andĀ Oribe Peralta made it 2 just minutes later. An own goal made it 3 nil before Hernandez’s header, which he almost looked embarrassed to score, made it four andĀ Angel Reyna’s 25 yard effort made it 5.
