David De Gea should be Manchester United’s number 1.
The Spanish goalkeeper was a big factor in United’s 3-2 win against Chelsea yesterday, making a number of important saves. Gary Neville felt he should have done better with Juan Mata’s freekick but he more than acquitted himself throughout the game with a number of top saves.
Keeping out Luiz’s freekick was impressive but the save from Torres’ header was really special and was quite reminiscent of that save from Peter Schmichel as he clawed the ball away from the goal.
De Gea’s shot stopping really is top class and given time the rest of his all round game will improve too, and the best way to do this is, is sticking with him in goal!

Doesn’t seem to matter what he does the English media have decided they don’t like him and he has got a raw deal ever since. I mean the Sun gave him a 6/10 for yesterday and Cech a 7/10??????????

Hahaha…. that’s quite funny really. The save from Torres header and the one on one with Mata right on the stroke of half-time, effectvely won us the 3 points, would of been completely different had we gone in 2-2

Agreed. They’ve been doing it to him all season long, winning us games and getting slated
