Robin Van Persie lead the comeback as Manchester United qualified from Group H tonight.

1-0 down to an Alan penalty just after half time, a powercut gave United much needed time to gather themselves after the hiatus the team sprang to life.

Off the bench Van Persie drew United level after Beto erronously came to meet Van Persie for a long but quick freekick from Anderson. The Dutch man took advantage of his gamble and proceeded to lift the ball over the keeper into an unguarded net.

And moments later United were in the lead after Hernandez perfectly controlled a ball from Ryan Giggs, his shot was saved by Beto but Rooney picked up the loose ball and was brought down in the area. Rooney, who missed from the spot against Arsenal on Saturday, made no mistake from the spot.

In the game’s dying moments Chicharito made it 3 when he tried to walk the ball into the net only for his effort to be blocked on the line, but a mix up between Braga’s defenders allowed him a second bite at the cherry and from the floor he hooked the ball into the roof of the net.

Whilst it wasn’t a vintage United performance, Sir Alex’s side have now qualified from the group and currently have a 100% record ,winning all 4 of their games and this now allows Sir Alex to rest players for the final 2 games of the group stages.
