After 26 years in charge at Old Trafford, Sir Alex Ferguson has been honoured with a statue. Unveiled by his wife Lady Cathy, the statue is just one of many things honouring the great man.

There was also a plaque unveiled as well as numerous installations in the concourses of the Sir Alex Ferguson stand.

A number of former United stars turned up including Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the King Eric Cantona as well as the first team.

    Great tribute to the boss, he totally deserves it for all that he has done for the club. However the statue itself isn’t very good and looks nothing like him which is a major disappointment.

    I like it a little more now the dust has settled on it but i’d of gone for the fist clench he gave to the fans though after beating Liverpool that showed his determination i loved that moment i’d of gone for that.
