Nemanja Vidic trained at Carrington this morning ahead of his return to first team action against FC Cluj tomorrow.
Vidic has been out since September after undergoing surgery on a meniscus injury, and last appeared for United in the 1-0 win against Galatasaray.
Sir Alex confirmed the defender had been back in training and would return in Wednesday’s final group game, and with the Serbian coming through this morning’s training session unscathed things are looking good.
United have been defensively at sea in their captain’s absence keeping just 2 clean sheets. Most recently they conceded 3 in the first half against Reading, so with the Manchester Derby approaching his return can’t have come quick enough.
