Bebe scored the winner against MorecambeBebe looks set to join Portuguese side Rio Ave on loan according to the club’s president.

The forward has found 1st team football hard to come by, instead having to make do with appearances for the u21 side.

Bebe has been somewhat of an anomaly since joining for £7.4m in 2010, but it is widely believed that he does not have the ability to hold down a regular place at the club.

He was sent out on loan to Besiktas last season but any hope of development was scuppered when he picked up a cruciate ligament injury early on in his spell, but it is hoped this foray away from Old Trafford will work out better for the 22 year old.

Rio Ave president Antonio Silva Campos told Renascenca:

“He [Bebe] is one of the players who should be just hours away from joining, but there are still some details left to address. His signing could be announced very shortly.”

Rio Ave currently sit 5th in the Portuguese league, so regular playing time at a standard higher than the one he is currently competing at may get the best out of the attacker.
