After scooping the club’s player of the month award earlier this week, Robin Van Persie was today named the Premiership’s player of the month too.

The Dutch striker was rewarded for a month that saw him hit 5 goals in 6 appearances helping United to 5 wins in 6 games including an away 3-2 win against Man City where he scored the deciding goal.

Upon receiving the award the 29 year old said:

“It was a big month for us.

“You have certain periods during a season when it goes your way and December was one of those periods.”
