davide petrucci is looking forward to his time at Peterborough

Davide Petrucci has told MUTV that he hopes to use his loan to Peterborough as a platform to the first team.

The Italian headed down to London Road in January with Scott Wootton and has since made 2 appearances for The Posh under Sir Alex’s son Darren.

Petrucci knows that Sir Alex is in constant contact, wanting to know how the youngster is getting on so hopes to make a good inpression at his new club so when he returns to Old Trafford, his path into the first team is a bit easier.

Speaking to the club’s official channel, the 21 year old said:

“I like it here. It’s a new experience for me and I’m very excited. Hopefully, I can do well here.

“It’s a great thing to have, knowing that he [Sir Alex] speaks to his son every day so you want to do as well as you can every day so he can hopefully tell him something good and I can go back there and play.

“I think 80 per cent of players do this step. Unless you’re Wayne Rooney or a player like that, you have to start in the Championship and get experience. I want to do well and hopefully go back to United and play one day for the first team.”
