Did you hear the one about Chelsea wanting to sign David De Gea?
Yes a national paper is trying to pass this ill thought of nonsense as a transfer rumour.
The Daily Express, quoting Spanish paper AS, are claiming that Chelsea are set to rival Barcelona for the signature of David De Gea this summer after missing out on Stoke bound Jack Butland in January.
The piece claims their on loan keeper Thibaut Courtois isn’t willing to return from Atletico Madrid to sit on the bench as Petr Cech still has quite a few years left in him, so Chelsea have set their sights on De Gea. Amazingly this ignore one major flaw, neither will De Gea considering he is at an age where he would like to be/need to be playing.
They then ponder if United would be willing to sell the young Spaniard to Chelsea.
This isn’t a hard one guys, in a word the answer is simply no.
Congrats James Dickenson and the Daily Express, you guys are the pride of British sports journalism!

I would love to see some correspondence analysis with m.o.m performances and transfer stories the week following the game.
