Javier Hernandez celebrates scoring against Wigan

Rumours linking Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez to Real Madrid continue to appear in the tabloids, but the Mexican isn’t paying them any attention according to his agent.

Chicharito has been in fine form this season with 15 goals, but with the signing of Robin Van Persie this summer he has faced fierce competition for playing time.

According to the striker’s agent, Eduardo Hernandez, this is the “most competitive situation Javier has faced” but despite the fight for minutes on field, he is focused on the job at hand this season rather than a move to the Spanish capital.

Eduardo Hernandez is quoted as telling ESPN Radio in Mexico:

“Javier is focused on United’s season, we’re both ignoring the rumours.

“It ‘s true that in Manchester there is a lot of competition, but the boy was able to maintain good performances.

“For this reason I don’t believe it is the right time to leave.”
