Sir Alex Ferguson could become a director after he steps down as Manchester United manager.
The Scot has been in the job for 26 years now and whilst he maintains only doctors will tell him when to call it a day, at 71 the reality is that his tenure will come to an end soon.
Sir Alex has lived the club for over a quarter of a century, so even when he steps out of the hot seat he has admitted it is likely he will remain at the club in some capacity as he told football magazine twentyfour7:
“There’s no getting rid of me.
“I will probably become director.”
