Nani

Following a brace against Crewe last night, Nani claims he is a week away from getting back to his best.

The Portuguese winger remained at home with a number of other players as the first team went on tour of Asia and Australia.

Appearing in two domestic pre season games, Nani has been trying to get back to fitness following a nose injury and with the new season kicking off in a number of weeks, the 26 year old believes he is getting back to full fitness and therefore back to his best as he told ManUtd.Com:

“It’s always nice to get back to work and start training with all the team-mates.

”Of course, all my team-mates have been in Asia but I have been training with a couple of them and it’s nice to feel the grass, feel the atmosphere again and start to prepare for the new season.

“I’d played two [behind-closed-doors] friendly games already and am preparing well in myself. I hope, when the season starts, I will be at my best to help the team. I think there’s still a lot of work [to do] but, in one more week, then I will be at my best.”

Nani has set his sights on getting amongst the goals this season as he looks to make up for a campaign that was interrupted by injury and bad form:

“I hope to win the league again and, for my personal wishes, I want to be at my best and score a lot of goals. Like I said, I just need to be at my best and then everything will come together.”

Nani’s career has had it’s highs n lows, more bad spells than good tho’….
But suprisingly I still hv belief that he will get in shape and be extraordinary.
He’s a great player and I personally will hate to see him leave Old Trafford, a move I see United regretting if he actually leaves.
Hopefully his career under moyes would be a fresh start for him.
