Reus

Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus has cast doubt on his future in the Rhine, with Manchester United reportedly sniffing around him.

Reus has been in excellent form for Jurgen Klopp’s side this season, with 21 goals and 15 assists.

A reported transfer target for incoming manager Louis Van Gaal, the 24 year old has a £28million buyout clause, which becomes active in the summer in the contract but with just two years left on the deal Dortmund are desperate to open talks over a new deal that will allow them to veto the clause.

But if his latest comments are anything to go by, he may already be looking at an exit from the Westfalenstadion:

‘It’s like that in this business. Every player only has one career and wants to get the best out of it.

‘You have to decide what’s best for you. We’ll see about that.’

With no silverware to his name since joining in 2012, Reus is looking to convert his on-field efforts into trinkets:

‘Every footballer has his goals and is dreaming of winning titles. At the end of your career, you want to be able to say that you’ve won many titles.’

With Bayern Munich’s apparent dominance of Germany well underway, could a move away from the Bundesliga allow him to achieve this?
