Having been given a 40% chance of making tomorrow’s game against Bayern Munich, Wayne Rooney has not trained with the first team effectively ruling him out.
It is thought Sir Alex will shed more light on the situation at a press conference at 13:00pm.
Despite Rooney not training there was some good news as John O’Shea returned to the fold having been out since November with a thigh injury.
