It’s obvious Manchester United are in need of reinforcements next season and it seems the papers are capitalising on this, doing our shopping for by linking us with every Tom, Dick and Harry about so here are some of the best rumours from what is quite a lively day for United rumours.

Various English papers are reporting that we have made Luka Modric their top target and are preparing a £25million bid. Modric has been linked with us quite a bit and in last week’s match day programme Sir Alex claimed he was one of his favourite ‘small men’ in the game.

Florent Malouda has done well this season, so why not run and grab the ‘new’ one? The Mirror claims that we are looking at Rennes winger Sylvain Marveaux. The 23 year old already has 8 goals this season from the wing.

We are lining up a move for Borrusia Dortmund’s highly rated centre back Neven Subotic. The 21 year old Serb has drawn the likely comparisons with country man and fellow United player Nemanja Vidic but is said to have more pace about his game. A fee of €20m has been mentioned in German paper Bild.

The MEN claims we are compiling a dossier on 21 year old Panathinaikos midfielder Sotiris Ninis. The attacking midfielder is now captain of his club and although preferring to be utilised as a play maker can also play on the right side of midfield.

Spanish rag Marca have us down for a move for Real Madrid’s Lassana Diarra. The midfielder would provide some presence in the middle of the park for us(although it’s a creative midfielder we need) . A fee of £17m  was stated in the piece for the player who has seen his place come under threat after Real Madrid splashed the cash last summer.
