Terry Venables had his time at the helm of the England team. In his 23 games between 1994 and 1996 he lost just 1 game but what an important game it was as England crashed out of Euro 96 on penalties to Germany.

But Dagenham’s finest was never one to stay down as player or a manager and after a hiatus from the game El Tel is back!

In conjunction with The Sun Venables can be seen singing his own version of Elvis Presley’s ‘While I can dream’ on top of the London’s o2 centre. Originally just a TV advert from The Sun which also featured cameos by Ian Wright and Harry Redknapp, it was expanded and includes a 60-piece Royal Philharmonic Orchestra providing back up to Venables melodious voice.

His dream is that England bring back the World Cup from South Africa but whilst we share this dream too I also dream that he lays off the vocals and sticks to the football managing!
